What is the Moraine Township Mental Health Board?

The Moraine Township Community Mental Health Board directs local funding to programs that support mental health, substance use recovery, and intellectual and developmental disabilities. Our role is to connect residents to the care that already exists—not to provide treatment, but to strengthen the system around it.

Do you offer counseling?

No. The Mental Health Board does not offer counseling. Instead, we fund the community organizations that provide therapy, treatment, and support. Our work focuses on connecting residents to those services and helping strengthen the system around them.

How do I apply for funding?

Funding is available only to eligible organizations. To apply, review our funding priorities, confirm eligibility, and submit an online application through our grant portal. We do not provide grants to individuals.

What if I’m in crisis?

If you’re in crisis, call 988 immediately or go to the nearest emergency room. The Mental Health Board does not provide crisis services. Our role is to fund and strengthen the programs that support residents, not to deliver emergency care.

Anyone who lives in Moraine Township can use the information and referrals we provide. Services themselves are delivered by the organizations we fund. Our role is to help residents understand what support exists and how to access it.
